Cfo - Consultant

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced CFO Consultant to join our team with experience in the municipality industry. As a CFO Consultant, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and strategic guidance to the organization. Your primary role will be to advise on financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. You will work closely with senior management and provide insights and recommendations to drive financial performance and support decision-making processes.

Pay: $125k-$150k

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial advice and guidance, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and goals.
- Lead the financial planning process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Monitor cash flow, manage investment portfolios, and oversee financial risk management.
- Guide and support the finance team in day-to-day financial operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant financial regulations and best practices, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners, such as auditors, banks, and government agencies.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency in financial operations, systems, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or similar leadership role in a complex organization.
- Deep understanding of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a municipality or government organization is a plus.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
