As part of its initiative to build a household name for cybersecurity and IT services, the company is rapidly expanding through strategic acquisitions of companies, customers, and top talent.
ReachOut is looking for a talented CFO to grow our finance team. The CFO is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Company, including accurate and timely financial reporting, planning and analysis, accounting, internal controls, financial policy development, budgeting and modeling, reforecasting, audit, tax, strategic investment, acquisitions, credit, and compliance. The CFO will report to the CEO and will directly manage lead accounting team members in acquisition target markets.
CHARACTERISTICS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build the financial infrastructure, systems, processes, and automation to manage fast paced growth
- Own the full-cycle monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes; prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Frequently update proformas with CAGR and DCF 3-5 years out
- Ensure quick close process with SLA's no greater than 5 business days
- Manage all inter-company accounting and transactions ensure appropriate classification of assets and liabilities related to the company's multiple reporting entities
- Ensure appropriate flow of funds, in accordance with management decisions, to support accounting, tax and compliance reporting
- Coordinate with external audit teams and tax specialists for SEC reporting, quarterly and semi-annual audits, and tax filings
- Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls
- Review and refine revenue recognition policies and procedures
- Optimize systems data configuration and reporting to enable revenue and gross margin reporting on a state, region and national basis
- Review, maintain and renew all insurance (general liability, medical malpractice, cyber security, etc), business licenses, etc.
- Provide reporting, analytics, and financial support for day-to-day operations
- Support the team in attaining financial targets consistent with growth objectives
- Act as primary signatory and tax lead for the Company
- Own all stock administration activities, ensuring all grants are issued and recorded in accordance with capital raise and investor activity, and the forthcoming employee stock ownership plan
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Provide leadership and coaching to team members to successful outcomes, by consistently achieving business objectives and by building high performing teams through skill and competency development
- Additional ad hoc analyses and projects as needed

CFO REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's (or Master's) Degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA not necessary
- 5+ years of related accounting experience, preferably with several years in startups and public accounting
- Preferred 3 years of experience leading teams
- Public Company Accounting Experience
- US GAAP expertise, principles of consolidation, stock based compensation, and other technical accounting matters
- Experience with inter-company/consolidation accounting
- The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, energetic, able to work independently, takes both direction and initiative, and is passionate about building out processes from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience working in QuickBooks Enterprise and G-Suite
- Local to Chicago area, preferably south suburbs
- Able to work Full-Time in the Office at least 3 days a week and always when CEO is in office
- Able to travel as needed, up to 20%
