Are you looking for a full-time  day or evening job that allows you to share your welding theory knowledge with students who will be future Welding Professionals?
Would you like to give back to the welding industry on a full-time schedule?
Do you understand welding theory in such a manner that students could learn from your expertise?
Do you have a heart for the welding industry and want to see students equipped with the theoretical knowledge they need to make a difference in the welding field?
Well, if you can answer yes to any of these questions, I would like to interview you about our full-time position.
Our Classroom Welding Educator works with the students and instructors over the course of the program, answering questions and providing feedback as needed, while promoting a classroom and shop environment where students feel respected, encouraged, and enthusiastic about learning. 
 
Education/Experience:  
  • 3+ years of welding experience or a combination of welding in the field and teaching experience (required).
  • Knowledge of welding processes in Mig, Stick, Tig, and Flux Core on Plate and Pipe using carbon steel.
  • Previous or current 3G, 4G, or 6G certification from the field and/or teaching certifications.
  • Desire to “empower” students with welding knowledge that will make them become WELDING PROFESSIONALS.

Tasks:
  • Facilitate student learning, provide effective instruction, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned classes, using each course’s standard course outline as a guide.
  • Develop and maintain course curriculum, course handouts, lectures, labs, and presentations that reflect the current state of the industry.
  • Enforce Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy. Notify the Administration if a student fails to meet minimum standards.
  • Work with other faculty and administrators in developing program curriculum, standards, and policies, including reviewing and participating in the textbook selection process where appropriate.
  • Schedule, supervise, debrief, observe, and evaluate students in the classroom & shop area as needed to empower the student with theory knowledge. 
  • Be available to students via email, phone, or personal conferences during office hours. The method of contact and hours of availability would be worked out with the Administration and the Welding Educators.
  • Assign grades and maintain course/student records in accordance with FERPA regulations and submit grades and records by established deadlines.
  • Instruct utilizing Hobart Institute & Lincoln Electric Curriculum and other materials as needed.
  • Maintaining the goal of the school to graduate students efficiently in four welding processes taught at the school.
  • Strive for good relationships between all the students and staff to increase the credibility of the overall school’s image to the community.
