Required Qualifications:
- Holds a valid bachelor degree in Secondary Education in the area of SCIENCE PREFERRED.
- Proven ability to work with adult students
- Use professional tact and diplomacy while working as a liaison between instructors
- administrators, business and industry partners
- Friendly, positive attitude
- Competent in oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and adheres to confidentiality requirements
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft applications
- Has undergone a physical examination, by a licensed physician, that documents
- capability to perform required duties
- Has an electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable of online learning platforms such as Google classroom
- Knowledge of online, supplemental learning programs such Aztec, and Odysseyware
- Ability to work in high pressure situations
- Knowledgeable about adult education programs requirements
- Provide direct instruction and monitor student progress in area of certification for
- students in both ABE and HSC programs
- Use PowerSchool for student attendance and assigning grades for course work and
- assessments
- Report student progress and credits earned to college and career navigator after each
- 6-week marking period and after each trimester
- Work with college, career navigator to develop transition plans through Adult Learning
- Plan (ALP) guidance/grad focus using Google Documents or Sheets
- Odysseyware instructor providing guidance such as monitoring student progress,
- reviewing submitted work, assigning student work, assessments and grades
- Assign and monitor student progress when working on GED preparation program, Aztec
- Participate in high school ELA monthly department meetings as needed
- Other reasonable and necessary duties as assigned by direct supervisor
