General Description: The 6th Grade teacher will deliver all content area instruction to students. The teacher will instruct students in various ways. The teacher will respect and maintain confidentiality of student information. He/she will collaborate with colleagues to review data and provide instructional support for learners. Other duties include, but are not limited to, developing/facilitating parent engagement activities; communicating regularly with parents and colleagues about student achievement, learning goals and attendance; participating in building/district team meetings; and maintaining accurate records of student data.
Qualifications: 1. Valid Driver's license
2. State of Michigan Teaching Certification/Indorsed
3. Highly qualified as required by ESSA
4. Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record
5. Ability to collaborate with colleagues
6. Technology skills preferred
7. Experience in building relationships with students and their families
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
