Certified Surgical Technologist

• Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room by sterilizing and setting up the necessary equipment for the procedure
• Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure
• Responsible for assembling all equipment and ensuring it functions properly
• Selects and checks case charts and preference cards for correct instrument pan(s), packs, sterile supplies, and additional items needed for the case to facilitate timely procedure start time

Certified Surgical Technologist Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent
• NBSTSA certification required
• 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
