Certified Surgical Technologist

Surgical Center looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist
*13 week contract with possible extensions and/or permanent opportunities

Location: Brookline, MA
Schedule: 40 hour days, Mon-Fri, 8 hour shifts starting at either 7am or 9am
Requirements:

• Preferred more than 1 year of full time Certified Surgical Technologist experience
• Experience with ortho, podiatry, plastic colorectal, gyn, ophthalmology
• Hospital or Surgical Center experience
• BLS
• MA License

Summary:

• Responsible for circulating and scrubbing in a variety of OR cases
• Perform high quality per-operative nursing care
• Maintain knowledge of and observe universal standard. universal precautions and all other precautions/protocols determined by the facility
• Effectively communicate with patients to obtain important clinical information, instruct the patient, relieve anxiety, and gain cooperation at all times
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills
• Adapt to changing environments (flexible schedules, emergency conditions, protocol development, technology advancements
• Function effectively under conditions which are often fast paced and stressful.
