Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The CST will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Surgical Techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Responsibilities:

Preoperative Preparation:Assist in the preparation of the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all required supplies are available and in proper working order.

Patient Care:Assist in transporting patients to the operating room and help position them on the operating table.
Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting incision sites.

Surgical Assistance:Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by being proactive and responsive during surgeries.

Postoperative Duties:Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room after surgeries.
Transport patients to the recovery room and provide postoperative care as needed.

Infection Control:Adhere to strict aseptic techniques to prevent infections and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of surgical instruments and supplies.

Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination during surgical procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Continuing Education:Stay updated on the latest advancements in Surgical Technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.
