What you’ll do:
Our healthcare organization is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. The CRNA will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during surgical procedures, as well as providing pre- and post-operative care. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. This position will be paid as a 1099.
What you will be working on:
- Administer anesthesia and monitors the anesthetized patient under the overall direction and supervision of the operating credentialed licensed physician in the ASC during endoscopic procedures.
- Identify and evaluate patient pre-procedure by interview/exam, including clinical laboratory findings/assessment of data of each patient and obtain anesthesia consent.
- Communicate with attending physician related to patient's condition before, during, and after anesthesia, and any changes in patient status.
- Select, administer, and record type and amount of medications/anesthetic administered according to accepted anesthesia standards and within clinical privileges delineated, including patient response to medication.
- Monitor, interpret, and evaluate information derived from monitors on patients; protect patient's life functions. Maintain competency in all equipment used.
- Perform IV insertion, intubation, hemodynamic and electrolyte balance, and airway management in routine and acute medical conditions.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of each patient and individualize care according to each patient's special needs.
- Familiar with the dosage route of administration, action, adverse drug reactions, and reversal medications of all medications commonly used during procedures.
- Identify an emergency situation and be able to effectively intervene.
- Continuously assess patient condition and maintain accurate documentation pre, intra and post-procedure, and inform physician.
- Transport patients to recovery and report to recovery staff.
- Restock anesthesia carts with drugs, supplies, equipment, and accessories, and end of day drug reconciliation.
- Maintain anesthesia equipment to keep in safe operational condition.
What you’ll know:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- CRNA graduate of an AANA approved program.
• Willingness to be compensated as a 1099.
- CRNA MD licensure REQUIRED.
- BLS and ACLS Certification nice to have, not required.
- Strong nursing experience required.
- Maintain a current malpractice policy to support your employment.
- GI experience preferred, preferably in an ASC or GI Suite, but not required.
- Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism.
