Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

We are seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join 633 Medical Group located at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage patient anesthesia experience, including preoperative evaluations, administration of monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, and postoperative evaluations.
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations, obtain informed consent, and order pre-anesthetic medications.
• Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care for each patient.
• Monitor and manage patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, maintaining physiologic homeostasis and correcting abnormal responses.
• Collect and interpret patient physiological data using noninvasive monitoring modalities.
• Manage the patient's airway and pulmonary status during anesthesia.
• Oversee the patient's emergence and recovery from anesthesia, providing relief from pain and anesthesia side effects.
• Record all pertinent events during the administration, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, including dosage and duration of medications and fluids.
• Document post-anesthetic visits, noting any anesthesia-related complications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA).
• Experience: Demonstrate clinical competency within the past two years in the required clinical discipline.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted CRNA license and Registered Nursing license from any state.
• Clinical Certification: NBCRNA (National Board for Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists) and AANA (Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists).
• Life Support Certifications: BLS/ACLS/PALS.
• Security: Must pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.
