Run tests on all assemblies and equipment to test for safety and productivity before they are put into production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
- Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste in correctly labeled barrels or other containers and transfer them to collection areas.
- Build product subassemblies or final assemblies.
- Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
- Prepare and assemble materials.
- Set up and operate production MIG and TIG equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
- Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Keep production logs.
- Maintain inventory of job materials.
- Package finished products.
- Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements.
- Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
- Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors.
- Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment.
- Start up and shut down processing equipment.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Install new equipment.
- Transfer hazardous or non-hazardous waste materials to collection areas for disposal, recycling, or reuse.

Requirements
Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:
- Must have at least 2 years experience or equivalent in a similar role.
- Requires print or spec reading from six to twelve months to attain proficiency on a variety of assignments.
- Move from station to station for test and work assigned.
- A rare leaking unit could result in a person being sprayed with oil or water.
- Physical/Mental Essential Functions:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to reach above shoulders
- Ability to walk back and forward thought-out facility
- Ability to control operation of hand or foot
- Ability to lift / carry up to 70 pounds
- Ability to use keyboard, sporadic 10 key
- Ability to use mouse (or alternative input device)
