Job Title: Phlebotomist (Part-Time Night Shift)
Location: Stanford CA, 94305
Duration: 12 months
Description:
The Mignot Lab within the Stanford School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Division of Sleep Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform nighttime phlebotomy and duties related to the collection of clinical samples.
Position Details:
Schedule: Part-time. One to three hours of late evening weeknight work.
Blood Draw Schedule:
Conduct one blood draw at 10:30 PM.
Conduct one blood draw between 1:00 AM to 6:45 AM.
The schedule of blood draws will be determined by the study protocol.
Duties Include:
Perform basic measurements and venipuncture on participants according to protocol after appropriate training.
Collect and manage study specimens according to protocol.
Work safely with potentially biohazardous biological specimens under the Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
Other duties may also be assigned.

· Phlebotomy certification.

Education & Experience (Required):
· High school diploma and State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) Certificate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required):
· General knowledge of medical terminology.
Certifications & Licenses:
· State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) Certificate.
Working Conditions:
· Position may at times require the employee to work with or be in areas where hazardous materials and/or exposure to chemicals, blood, body fluid or tissues and risk of exposure to contagious diseases and infections.
· May require extended or unusual work hours based on research requirements and business needs.
