Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Enter prescription information into computer systems accurately
- Package and label prescriptions for distribution
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
- Perform medication administration duties, such as preparing IV infusions or inhalation medications
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues effectively
- Knowledge of critical care and acute care pharmacy practices is a plus
