Small (but busy!) locally-owned store in Charlottesville is seeking an exceptional Pharmacy Technician to join our fun, dynamic staff. This is a real full-time position, not a temp job or contract. For the right candidate, there will be eventual opportunities to advance within the organization.
- Four 10 hour days (8:15-6:15) on weekdays.
-Only 1-2 Saturday shifts (9am-2pm) required per month.
-After a probationary period, employees will be eligible for health insurance, paid holidays and PTO benefits.
Routine duties will include, but are not limited to:
-Answering phone calls & emails
-Perform data entry, bill insurance, troubleshoot & problem solve, fill prescriptions, and help maintain pharmacy records & paperwork,
-Understand and follow national and state laws and regulations.
- Ring up customers, assist customers to find products on sales floor, and provide deliveries as needed.
-Communicating with prescribers and patients
-Inventory management
-Marketing tasks
-Cleaning & organizing
-General errands (must have drivers license and ability to lift 25lbs)
As a smaller company, sometimes there is some overlap in roles. Ideal candidates will possess the following:
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Experience with Windows operating systems, email, and productivity software.
-A hard working, can-do attitude
-Willingness to learn new things, and the ability to learn new concepts quickly
-The ability to multitask and do well under pressure
-Excellent writing & communication skills
-A clean criminal history & driving record
-Be ready, willing, and able to learn new skills such as compounding, adherence packaging, medication sync, etc.
