Responsibilities:
- Provide primary healthcare services to pediatric patients under the supervision of a physician
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in children
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
- Master's degree in nursing with a specialization in pediatrics is preferred but not required
- Current state licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse
- Strong knowledge of pediatric anatomy, physiology, and developmental stages
- Experience in coordination of care for pediatric patients
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
