Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join our Eye Center team in Kingston, NY. As a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physicians and technical staff in performing essential diagnostic tests to evaluate patients' eye conditions.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Qualifications:

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification required.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in using ophthalmic testing equipment and tools.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the field of ophthalmology.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Responsibilities:

• Conduct basic ophthalmic testing procedures under close supervision, following physician or supervisor directives.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, history taking, tonometry, lensometry, motility, pupil assessment, and visual fields.
• Administer dilation or anesthetic drops as required.
• Assist with refraction procedures.
• Perform various clerical tasks, including documentation and maintenance of patient records.
• Manage stock levels and assist in restocking supplies.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work environment.
