Duties:
- Assist occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients
- Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist
- Help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
Requirements:
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to adapt to different patient needs and treatment plans
- Excellent organizational skills to manage patient records and documentation
