Responsibilities
- Utilizes equipment in a proper and safe manner, maintains equipment inspection, maintenance, and cleaning logs, and reports broken or faulty equipment
- Follows medical regimen developed for the patient, is aware of and adheres to safety precautions (THR, TKR, Wound, etc.)
- Utilizes the following safe treatment techniques: transfers, positioning, feeding, splinting, paraffin bath, cryotherapy, etc.
- Utilizes therapy treatment approaches according to established OT protocols and policies
- Documents patient treatments on the appropriate visit note in the EMR
- Documents units of treatment for each patient visit in the EMR
Education and Experience
- Current licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
