Job Description
- Follows proper documentation and recordkeeping procedures in compliance with ASC policies and procedures.
- Provide therapy as indicated by treatment plan assisting the OT as needed.
- Documents caseload activities, including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of individuals.
- Submits therapy-related reports, including Medicaid and/or billing reports, in a timely manner.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding each individual’s health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ASC’s policies and procedures.
- Provides training to individuals, families/guardians, and direct care staff on treatment programs, techniques, and strategies to cope with physical challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- Graduate of American Occupational Therapy Association approved program.
- At least 1+ years of related work experience (internships and externships may count towards work experience requirement).
- Valid Florida license for Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Current CPR/BLS.
- Current Florida Motor Vehicle license, automobile insurance with good driving record; Reliable vehicle.
- Effective communication skills. (verbal and written)
- Must be comfortable speaking to large groups.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office & EMR systems).
