What you will get as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Assigned an experienced Mentor to work side-side with you to ensure you have a full understanding of your role
- Hands-on learning in our healthcare resident area and clinical classroom sessions
- Dedicated nursing staff and nurse educators to monitor your progress every step of the way
What you will do as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Respond timely to residents call lights and offer support as needed
- Assist residents with care including bathing, grooming, hygiene
- Perform restorative procedures as instructed
- Clean oxygen concentrators, feeding pumps, IV poles and wheelchairs
- Assist with transferring resident to and from beds, chairs and wheelchairs
- Assist with moving resident personal items during room changes
- Make resident beds and handle linen according to infection control guidelines
- Set up trays for residents who feed themselves
- Fill water pitchers and hand out trays during mealtime
- Practice infection control and standard precaution techniques as consistent with FutureCare’s policies and procedures
- Perform a variety of other duties while being trained and as assigned

What you need to qualify for this great opportunity
- Ability to pass a reading and arithmetic assessment during pre-employment screenings
- Ability to complete a 5-6 week training course
- Must be familiar with and have basic knowledge using computers
- Ability to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable
- Must be able to train on site Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm as scheduled
- Ability to interact with nursing staff, residents, and family members in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner
- Must have a kind, patient, and empathetic personality
- Must have a strong work ethic and the ability work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to follow directions and complete all assigned tasks
- Ability to lift 50lbs and stand on your feet for at least 8 hours/day
