The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the general direction of the RN and the Director In-
Patient and Support Services. The CNA serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and
provides personal care services consistent with the care plan and is responsible for provision of services
consistent with the mission, vision, and goals of HWC, quality outcomes and regulatory standards.
The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for demonstrating the ability to care for patient by
performing personal care skills and services; providing emotional support and compassionate care to the
patient and family; demonstrating ability to assist patient with ambulation/transfer activities;
demonstrating knowledge of safety measures related to caring for the patient and demonstrating an
understanding of and follows the CNA care plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Nursing Assistant certified in the State of Maryland
- Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing assistant preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable car required

6:00pm - 6:30am
3 – 12 hour shifts w/Self-Scheduling
Rotating weekends (currently every 3rd)
