Shift 7pm - 7:30AM with rotating weekends. 3 shifts per week, 12 shifts per month fulltime. Union Position with full benefits. Priority for full time applicants without scheduling restrictions with CNA and BLS. Positions available in multiple units depending on background, availability and preference
Under the supervision of the registered nurse, performs routine service duties and basic nursing procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients. Maintains patient and service rooms in a clean and orderly condition. Assists with the preparation of the room and equipment for diagnostic procedures. Participates in the orientation process of new employees.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certificate from an approved Nurse Aide training program, In lieu of certificate must be a nursing student who has completed a Nursing Fundamentals course.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to read and write at an elementary school level to understand the patient's plan of care and to record data on the patient's medical record
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations at an elementary school level in order to take and record the patient's weight, vital signs, I & O
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families that demonstrate recognition of cultural diversity.
- Basic analytical skills in order to gather data, complete comparisons, interpret, & report outcomes to the nurse or document on the medical record.
- Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
