SalaryMedical Office Visit Coding/Auditor
Large family practice office looking for an AAPC, or equivalent, certified Coder to enter and audit office visit charges. We are based in Cape Girardeau, MO and is a non-remote position.
- Ability to understand the logic of standard medical coding (i.e. CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, etc.)
- Work high volume of repetitive charge tickets
- Identify visits with inaccurate data
- Maintain productivity goals, quality standards and aging time frames
- Audit office visits for proper E&M codes and communicate issues with medical providers
- Complete special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of medical coding and auditing experience
- AAPC or equivalent certification
- Family practice experience preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with medical providers about issues or changes
- High school diploma or GED
