Job Responsibilities:
- You will work in the doctors office, home visits, and moving between clincs, and closely with the Laboratory team to provide the best service /care to our patients.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures
- Perform, collect, and label CLIA-waived lab tests for sending out to the Laboratory.
- Collecting blood and specimen samples from patients and donors and labeling all
collected samples accurately for tests as in the Job description.
- Entering data for patients into an electronic medical record (EMR).
- Protecting patient privacy rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Explaining the procedure and treatments that will be performed.
- Clean and sterilize both instruments and equipment after use.
- Perform both DOT and Non-DOT urine drug and alcohol tests.
- Process, organize, label, and transport specimens for laboratory testing.
- You are required to travel to the lab to drop off the specimen along with patient documentation at the Lab.
- Maintain frequent communication with the Laboratroy and General Manager.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- High School/GED
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Phlebotomist
- Certified Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant Required
- CPR / BLS Certification
- Ability to work all shifts, including Saturday hours if needed.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Up to 75 % of travel required.
- Scope of responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned)
Physical requirements:
- The job may require frequent driving, moving, standing, sitting, walking, and reaching for items.
- The Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 15 - 30 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times when in contact with a patient.
