Certified Medical Assistant (Cma)

At Polley Clinic of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, we are dedicated to providing excellent skin, hair, and nail care. We specialize in dermatological procedures that remove and treat skin cancers, including SRT (superficial radiation therapy). We offer laser treatments for the treatment of acne, dark spots, ageing skin, spider veins, hair removal, and more.

Desire experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team! We are a busy dermatology office open Monday - Thursday 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday 8 AM to 1 PM. Beginning June 3, 2024, we will be open Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We have offices located in Roanoke Rapids, Rocky Mount, Smithfield, Goldsboro, and Fayetteville. This position is for the Rocky Mount office. It is rare but possible, employee may be required to work in one of our other offices.

Duties and Responsibilities - Medical Assistant candidates should be detail-oriented, as they must enter all patient data accurately so providers and insurance companies can refer to them. Medical assistants should also have interpersonal skills so they can work with a variety of patients.

Medical Assistants may perform the following duties including but not limited to:

• Perform data entry
• Measure and record vital signs
• Administer SQ and IM injections
• Assist with minor procedures
• Clean exam rooms

Skills and Qualifications - A successful Certified Medical Assistant candidate will know how to interact with patients and be able to obtain information from a variety of patients. They should have a background in computers (EMR system), understanding of OSHA and HIPAA, medical terminology, and patient care. Dermatology and being bilingual is not required, but is preferred.

Medical Assistants should have the following skills and qualifications:

• Medical assistant certification or higher
• 2+ years of working in healthcare
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Superior customer service skills
• A high level of professionalism
• Dermatology experience and being bilingual is preferred, but not required

Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required and covered by the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
