Now operating under new ownership and with a detailed restructured management approach, we are looking not only to consolidate our position in the market, but also to expand it. For this reason, we are working very hard in recruiting additional qualified providers, management, and staff.
We are looking for a solid and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide direct support to our psychiatrists and nurse practitioners in the care of our patients. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing patient care and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will perform a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Education and Experience
Certificate from a qualified MA or LPN program, (CMA, RMA) preferred but not required
1-2 years clinical experience
Responsibilities
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Administer medications and patient monitoring
- Coordinate medication refills with providers
- Proactively monitor schedules and keep patients updated
- Direct patient flow
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
- Accept and return patient phone calls in a timely manner, as per physician direction, with accurate documentation
- Help coordinating referrals
- In addition to Medical Assistant duties, you will be cross trained to perform Front Office duties including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check in/out, communication of wait times, etc.

Skills and Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Must have fluent experience with electronic medical records
- Good understanding of medical terminology
- Advanced computer skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic and cpt codes
- Phlebotomy skills (optional)
