Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:

-Rooming patients, including vital signs, answering patient messages
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling software
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Greenway Prime Suite
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding clinic services and policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office setting
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems like Greenway Prime Suite
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
