Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the medical staff. Responsibilities:

- Perform various clinical tasks under the supervision of healthcare professionals

- Assist in patient examinations and procedures

- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers

- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures

- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens

- Provide basic life support in emergency situations

- Assist with medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records

- Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

- Provide exceptional patient service with a caring and empathetic approach

Qualifications:

- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred

- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy

- Experience with coding and medical billing processes

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively

- Epic EMR system experience is required

- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred

- Assist the physician with the weightloss clinic where duties include some retail sales and inventory control.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
