TEEMA, a leading staffing solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in supporting a corrections facility in San Diego, CA.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical assistance and support within the corrections facility setting.
• Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to all relevant safety and security procedures within the corrections environment.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program and relevant certification.
• Previous experience working in a corrections facility is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Medical Assistant certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to pass background checks required for working in a corrections facility.
