Job Title: Travel Certified Medical Assistant

Clinic Locations: Pella, IA - Ottumwa, IA - Prairie City, IA

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift: Days, 40 hours per week guaranteed

Job Summary:

As a Travel Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare providers within clinic settings across various locations in Iowa. Your primary responsibilities will include aiding healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures, all under the provider's direction and within the scope of professional licensure. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient medical records and documentation, collecting and preparing specimens, and administering medications as ordered by the provider.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Graduate of an accredited program for LPNs, Certified Medical Assistants, RNs, or ATCs
• Certification/Licensure in the States of Iowa
• Previous acute or clinic experience
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required; new employees certify within three (3) months after hire date
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
• High degree of empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward others
• Ability to communicate well verbally and work effectively as a member of a team
• Basic computer knowledge
• Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment
• Knowledge of skilled nursing practices
