JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your role will involve diagnosing complex issues, performing advanced repairs, and ensuring the highest quality service standards are met. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who is committed to delivering exceptional Automotive Service.
DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
- Use independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers, providing detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance recommendations.
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments to identify and address complex automotive issues efficiently.
- Complete service and repair documentation accurately, maintaining organized records of work performed.
- Perform advanced repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and computerized components.
- Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and industry advancements through ongoing training and professional development.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards, maintaining the highest level of quality and safety.
- Mentor and assist entry-level technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Adhere to Coos Bay Toyota's safety protocols and contribute to a clean and efficient working environment.
- Additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Prefer 2 years Toyota experience but will consider and discuss applicants with 2 years other line technician experience.
- Certification from an accredited automotive technical institute or equivalent experience. (i.e. Technical Certificate, ASE certificate)
- Valid driver license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance company.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Working Conditions/Environmental Factors
- Work is generally performed indoors but occasionally is performed outdoors. Indoors work is in a shop environment, and may have exposure to cool or hot conditions, elevated noise levels, fumes and dust. Outdoors work is exposed to ambient heat and cold, and to sun, rain and other weather conditions.
