Atlantic Tractor, recently certified as a Great Place to Work by the Great Place to Work Institute, is looking for a Centralized Service Manager to join our team in any one of our Maryland, Delaware, or Pennsylvania locations.

Purpose

Lead integrated solutions development and implementation for the entire organization including the execution of the John Deere Precision Ag strategy. In addition, the CSM will lead the organization’s Connected Support efforts in alignment with the Aftermarket business goals to maximize service efficiency and profitability. Work closely with internal and external resources to identify customer and market needs in order to develop comprehensive services and solutions to address those needs. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develops the strategic direction in the development, execution, and delivery of Integrated Solutions and Connected Support Business Plan.

  • Manages the Certified Trainer, Technical Communicator, Machine Monitoring, and Precision Ag roles as well as any additional centralized roles that may be added in the future.

  • Provides leadership across the organization for Precision Ag products.

  • Partners with service, parts, and sales management in the development and execution of services and solutions to identify and address customer needs.

  • Drives Precision Ag Engagement Score (PAES) to meet John Deere expectations.

  • Identifies and secures elements required for delivering solutions, and manages the relationship with third party providers (Certified Crop Advisor, Ag Service Provider, etc.).

  • Sets goals and identifies precision farming products for mainstreaming throughout the dealership.

  • Manages the adoption of new technology and product offerings.

  • Identifies the scope, direction, and business model for offering consulting services.

  • Develops and contributes integrated solutions elements of the dealership strategy, marketing, and employee and customer training plans.

  • Ensures that stocking/inventory requirements for solutions enablement are met and act as a liaison with inventory managers as needed.

  • May provide solutions-based business consulting services to customers (i.e. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.).

  • Develop and implement the organization’s Connected Support Business Plan.

  • Develop and implement execution plans for JDLink™ support, Expert Alert completion, and Proactive Machine Monitoring in alignment with aftermarket business goals.

  • Create and monitor annual Connected Support goals and budget in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.

  • Develop, execute, and monitor the Connected Support marketing plan to ensure achievement of established goals.

  • Manage Right To Repair related items for the company.

  • Develop and implement Connected Support employee compensation plans.

  • Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position.

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

  • Maintain knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge

  • 5+ years experience in an agriculture-related role.

  • 3+ years experience working /managing in Service and Parts Department operations.

  • Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications.

  • Experience writing and speaking effectively to individuals and groups.

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting internal reports.

  • Demonstrated understanding of financial principles relative to Parts and Service Department operations.

  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs.

  • Ability to think strategically.

  • Demonstrates leadership, organizational, management, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers.

  • Certified Crop Advisor certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience.


The pay range for this exempt position is $80,000 - $90,000, based on experience.
