We are looking for aCentral Billing Administratorresponsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for legal services provided by a significant department of the law firm.
Your specific duties will include:
- Prebill Invoice Processing: Review invoices from the accounting department for accuracy, coordinating attorney review and correction, ensuring compliance with client guidelines, fee arrangements, billing protocols; log and send out to the client.
- Billing System: Utilize billing software systems, including entering new client matter information, updating rates, and troubleshooting any issues related to billing processes.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries, providing clear and timely responses to address any questions or concerns.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on billing and collections metrics, analyzing trends and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- 1+ years previous experience in billing, accounting, or financial administration, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proficiency in billing software systems (PerfectLaw, experience would be helpful but not required), Microsoft Excel, and other relevant applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of legal billing practices, billing guidelines, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
