CEMS Specialist Description
Our client, a mining and metals company, is looking for an CEMS Specialist to join their team just north of beautiful Big Bear Lake, CA and world-class hiking, biking, and skiing. Working with the internal team, agencies, and State regulators, you will ensure that permits and licenses are maintained for continuous plant operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Equipment and other data gathering systems. Beyond the bullets below, our client is looking for a candidate that can develop good relationships with colleagues. CEMS Specialist Responsibilities
• Interact with State regulators, agencies, and plant operations personnel
• Secure proper permits and licenses for continuous plant operations
• Learn regulatory requirements for Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
• Become familiar with the operation and maintenance of the CEMS
• Coordinate with other agencies as needed to support compliance
• Check Data Acquisition System daily and maintain quality control measures
• Produce periodic reports for submission to agencies and assist in agency inspections
CEMS Specialist Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 1+ years of environmental management experience required
• Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) required
• Knowledge of Federal environmental regulations required
• Ability to travel monthly, required
