Cellar Worker

Position Overview:

As a member of the Winemaking Team at Hocking Hills Winery, the Cellar Worker will play a role in various wine production tasks, organization, and winery sanitation under the guidance of the winemaking staff. The ideal candidate should demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute all assigned tasks diligently and efficiently according to provided instructions.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work environment.

• Uphold stringent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for consistent quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized cellar environment, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
• Perform diverse duties, including but not limited to tank scrubbing, drain cleaning, and floor washing.
• Operate equipment such as pumps for racking, blending, and wine movement.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance tasks on equipment and tanks.
• Assist with inventory management, gas tank operations, and bottling processes.
• Support grape processing activities during harvest seasons.
• Undertake additional duties as delegated by management, including facility upkeep and grape picking as needed.

• Comfort with working in varied conditions, including messy, wet, and confined spaces.
• Proficiency in basic communication, reading, writing, and math skills.
• Prior experience operating a forklift preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel software applications.
• Physical capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach during work hours.
