Job Description:
Parsons is seeking aSenior Roadway / Bridge Inspector for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) work in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive general supervision from the Project Administrator.
- Coordinate and manage the lower-level inspectors and verification testing technicians.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Perform field inspection of contractor's operations to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Perform material sampling and testing.
- Prepare daily reports to document contractor work operations.
- Field measure installed quantities and perform supporting standard mathematical calculations.
- Enter daily reports and material sampling and testing results in web-based databases (PrC and Material Acceptance and Certification [MAC] database).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality or related field and 2-4 years related construction experience OR a High School/Trade School diploma and equivalent work experience (5+ years) is required. .
- Candidates with Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Construction Management degrees, only one (1) year of experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection is required.
- Prior FDOT experience required.
- This position may require frequent and recurring construction inspections, which includes walking, climbing, stooping and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior FDOT District 2 Experience is preferred.
- Ideal candidate should possess current FDOT CTQP certifications and FDOT Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (MOT) certification as well as possess working knowledge of FDOT specifications.

Salary Range:
$28.51 - $49.90
