RES is currently looking for a CDL Operator II- Equipment and Fuel Delivery professional with at least 2 years of experience. This position will be based out of Houston, Texas.
The mission: The CDL Operator II will operate various Commercial Motor Vehicles with varying configurations to deliver goods and materials throughout the Houston, Texas area and will be reporting to the Regional Fleet Manager.
- Local transport only in and around Houston, Texas.
- Safely operate and maintain commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers and other large trucks, in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods and materials from one location to another, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the vehicle.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and transportation regulations, including hours of service regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, following all safety guidelines.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical failures promptly to the appropriate authorities and supervisors.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Transports hazardous materials including bulk fuel to local project sites.

Required:
- Two (2) years of CDL driving, operating a class 6-8 power units.
- Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CDL requirements within Texas.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Or willing to obtain these endorsements within thirty (30) days.
- Understanding of requirements related to: trailering, placarding, GVWR, intrastate transport, IFTA and HAZMAT.
Preferred:
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of commercial vehicles.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience in fuel truck operation but can also operate a dump truck or flatbed for material deliveries to project sites
