Job description

American Chrome & Chemicals LTP Inc. (ACC LTP Inc.)

Driver/Operator needed for chemical manufacturing plant in Amarillo, TX. Semi tanker driving -CDL required. One day delivery and no overnight stay. Strong safety/environmental commitment is a must. The ideal candidate will need some mechanical equipment understanding. Will train the right candidate for the manufacturing duties.

Job Summary:

Semi tanker driving.

Monitor, operate, and report manufacturing process of Amarillo plant.

Principal Accountabilities:

Transportation Operations

· Must have or attain within 90 days from hire a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Tanker endorsements. ACC LTP will provide/fund partial training expenses.

· Must have and maintain a safe driving record while employed with ACC LTP.

· Maintain a professional Image when at customer location when delivering the product.

· Additional duties and responsibilities as defined by supervision.

· Records and maintains accurate and complete paperwork and records, relating to all ACC LTP, State, Federal requirements.

Process Operations

· Perform Production Batch Manufacturing and railcar unloading operations.

· Reads and acts upon daily area operating instructions. Checks levels, temperatures, pressures, etc. Communicates findings to supervision.

· Some knowledge of and calibration of weigh systems for batch processing.

· Loading finished product into semi-trailer tank for customer delivery.

· Unload and track Raw Materials (i.e. Sodium Dichromate, High Fructose Corn Syrup)

· Communicates and cooperates effectively with the Administrative Teams and other employee.

Health, Safety and Environment

· Reports all safety and environmental incidences immediately.

· Follow all company regulatory HSE standards, practices, and procedures.

· Housekeeping – responsible for keeping entire area clean.

· Double checks validity and trueness of all job permits.

· Maintains hair, dress, and hygiene to plant standards.

· Looks out for the safety of others around him/her.

· Follow DOT and State regulations while driving on the road.

Self-Directing – Continuous Improvement

· Takes time to get understanding of others, prepares to listen to views of others. Sound knowledge of the process and can predict outcomes, demonstrates care for the plant and equipment, persistent in getting things done with ability to prioritize activities. Seeks opportunities to learn and extend knowledge level, supports learning from other members of the team.

Teamwork

· Cooperates with any co-worker, supervisor, etc. to guarantee safe, efficient operation and maintenance of your responsible area.

Physical Requirements

· Walking or standing most of the day, with some sitting. Frequently bends/stoops, squats, crawls, reaches above shoulder, kneels, and balances. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs frequently throughout the day. Must be able to carry/lift up to 50 pounds. The hands and fingers are frequently used for pushing/pulling, simple and firm grasping. Occasionally for fine manipulation. Employee must occasionally use the head and neck in a static position, and for rotational, flexing and extension movements. Must be able to evacuate unassisted in an emergency.

Environmental Conditions

· Employee's activities occur both inside and outside. There is exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, humidity and loud noise. In production areas, employee must wear company-supplied protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, uniform, gloves, slicker and boots.

Training

· Must pass company-supplied training program within normal timeframe to maintain employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· High school or equivalent required, some post-secondary work preferred.

· Reading, math, written language and memory abilities are essential to performing this job. Makes evaluations based on measurable or verifiable criteria. Relates to others in situations involving cooperation and teamwork. Performs repetitive or continuous tasks which have set procedures. Performs under stress when confronted with emergency or critical situations. Adaptable to variety of duties.

· LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Class “C” CDL
