What’s different about driving for Stone Ground Bakery?

• Drive 3-5 days a week (Scheduled days off) – 35 to 45 hours per week.
• Deliver Stone Ground Bakery’s excellent baked goods to our customers in the Salt Lake City area. Frequency usually 3-5 times per week.
• Paid hourly, not by the mile.
• Paid hourly rate during orientation/training.
• Employee can live in or near Salt Lake City

Daily Duties:

• Load and unload baked goods in a safe manner, observing all State and Federal Food Safety guidelines.
• Operate vehicle, and associated equipment, to transport materials to and from specified customer destinations in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with State, Federal, and DOT Regulations
• Responsible for the protection of company equipment and freight from damage, theft, tampering, or adulteration.
• Unload freight from truck utilizing proper equipment and securing for transit, utilizing safe and efficient means to get product to customers.
• Comply with all State, Federal, and DOT regulations.
• Perform periodic inspections of assigned vehicle equipment and complete all required paperwork. Communicate maintenance needs with the lead driver and manager.
• Upon arrival at the Stone Ground Bakery Distribution Center, receive dock assignment, complete and sign appropriate paperwork, and conduct loading duties as assigned.
• Other duties as required.

Compensation:

• Starting pay is $23-$26 / hour, Depending on Experience

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• We are willing to accept drivers fresh out of driving school!
• Valid CDL-A, with DOT Medical card (or ability to get one with employment)
• 21 Years or Older
• Acceptable driving record, per DOT regulations and Stone Ground Bakery Policy
• High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Ability to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment driving, criminal and drug test.
• Basic math skills
• Proven ability to work independently while performing a variety of production tasks.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business need.

Physical Requirements:

The following physical requirements must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. The work environment requires the following:

· Tolerance to variations in temperature

· Ability to perform in working conditions both inside and outside, exposing the worker to different weather conditions and surfaces.

• Ability to manipulate equipment utilizing manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, and sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to push up to 300 lbs with a hand truck & lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform repetitive motion movements with upper extremities.
