Heinrich Services and Lockport Recycling Center is seeking a detail oriented and skilled CDL Class A driver to join our team in Lockport, New York. As a CDL Class A driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering and picking up dumpsters, loading and hauling stone throughout WNY, and load and haul C&D to landfill. This is a full-time, individually contributing role with a competitive salary and weekly pay.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle, specifically a CDL Class A to deliver and pick up dumpsters in a roll off truck, load and haul stone in a dump truck, load and haul C&D to landfill in a walking floor.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety of the vehicle and cargo.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Will train roll off truck, dump truck and walking floor.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and conducting minor repairs.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials when needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a commercial motor vehicle.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
