HR RECRUITER
Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) / Rainbow Center is a private, not-for-profit corporation founded in 1972. CDD provides residential care services and day habilitation to adults with developmental disabilities in the greater Kansas City, MO area.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening, interviewing, and referring applicants for direct support positions throughout the agency. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of direct care functions within the agency, a basic understanding of the agency’s
organizational structure as well as knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Essential Functions

  • Source candidates using a variety of search methos to build a robust candidate pipeline
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, media etc. to identify and attract quality candidates;
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings;
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices;
  • Partners with hiring Manager to determine staffing needs;
  • Processes internal and external job postings via HRIS Recruiting system;
  • Develops job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements;
  • Goes over RJP with applicants during interview process to ensure good fit for position;
  • Refers qualified applicants to hiring Manager for interviewing;
  • Conducts employment reference checks;
  • Conducts background screening for new hires and annually for current employees;
  • Completes I-9 screening and processing;
  • Runs Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for all new hire drivers;
  • Assist with collecting paperwork and producing photo ID badges for orientation of new employees;
  • Completes weekly report on employment activities;
  • Ensures all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations;
  • Make photocopies, fax documents and performs other clerical functions

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach
with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Travel
This position requires travel within the metropolitan area as needed.
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related field
• Two years of recruiting experience preferred
