- Serve as program liaison and resource to district employees and supervisors for northeastern Colorado conservation districts in the completion and timely submission of annual plans of work, general fund budgets, and audits.
- Attend conservation district board meetings, annual meetings and watershed events.
- Establish and implement procedures to monitor the submission of numerous reports from the districts to determine timeliness and accuracy to comply with the legislative intent of the funding.
- Advise and clarify procedures for accurate completion of these various reports. Identify problem areas in the operation of individual conservation districts and devise appropriate solutions.
- Provide guidance to district managers and supervisors for the districts on various aspects of daily and long term conservation district operations.
Develop training and leadership expansion programs for conservation districts that will build their proficiency in grant writing and administration, employee supervision, equipment safety, special district operation, etc.

- Coordinate and conduct "New District Manager/Supervisor Training" for conservation districts assigned to the position.
- Travel throughout Colorado to conduct formal training sessions for district employees, supervisors, and partners.
- Assist in organizing the annual Envirothon competition and assist in organizing Camp Rocky natural resources youth camp.
- Coordinate administration and implementation of Envirothon events with the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts (CACD) and conservation partners.
- Organize planning meetings and establish agreements on-site locations.
- Lead contest and testing protocols throughout the competition.
- Assist CACD in the implementation of Camp Rocky.
- Provide adult oversite and assist with teaching at weeklong camp event.
- Work with northeast Watershed Associations (consortiums of conservation districts) to organize and facilitate regular meetings.
- Help further watershed planning efforts throughout northeastern Colorado. This includes meeting organization, facilitation, and meeting support with items such as agendas, meeting minutes, organizing guest speakers, etc.
- Assist districts in the watershed navigate the resolution process.
