In some cases, heart disease can be treated using minimally invasive interventional cardiology techniques that use a catheter (thin, flexible tube) inserted into the arteries. The catheter is guided to the heart to open blocked arteries and improve blood flow. These advanced techniques are performed on an outpatient basis and offer a non-surgical alternative to treat many heart conditions.

Responsibilities
The Direct Contract - Cardiac Cath Lab RN is responsible for direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. They address the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. We need full time day shiftnurses and here are some qualities we're looking for on our Cath Lab team:
- 6-month contract length or longer
- 10-hour shifts
- Option to convert to Fulltime with Sign-on Bonus
- Float Pool: Cath Lab: May be asked to work at either Dallas Medical Center or Dallas Regional Medical Center
- 4 person On-Call Team
- ONLY 1 weekend a month On-call
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
