Catering Steward / Operations Manager (Will Train)

Strong family catering firm with high standards and Ohana values and is seeking a full-time Catering Steward / Operations Manager.

Sinublan Catering, a leading caterer in Hawaii, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Catering Steward to join our team. As the right hand to our owners, you'll wear many hats (and aprons!), ensuring every event is a smooth and efficient experience while supporting the FoH and BoH. This is a mid-level role with a path to an Operations Manager within the company. Sinublan Catering is a growing company and we want to grow our leadership team.

Pay: Starting between $20-$22.50 per Hour; Increase after 6 month probation; Promotion to Management position different pay scale.

Location: Waipahu

Office Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities:

Catering Operations:

• Master of Compliance: Ensure our Company adheres to all Dept of Health regulations and food safety standards.
• Partner in Business: Work closely with the Manager Team to strengthen the company’s support kitchen partnership and complete duties
• Culinary Conductor: Assist with purchasing, inventory, prep, and maintenance of the support kitchen.
• Food & Furniture Maestro: Manage and assist catering equipment, event setup/breakdown of furniture, ensuring everything is ready for showtime.

Team Leadership:

• Motivational Leader: Manage and support both front and back-of-house Managers and staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Operations & Admin:

• Caterer Czar: Manage and assist with catering operations and client event tasks.
• Front and Back House Backup: Assist with scheduling, duties, operations, and opening/closing procedures.
• Admin Sorcerer: Manage and assist in payroll confirmations, hiring, ensure support kitchen rules and regulations are followed, ensure business license and permits are up-to-date and handle administrative tasks.
• Software Whisperer: Manage and assist all business software, the Google Drive file system, client processing through our intake system/phone system.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Experience in a fast-paced catering/restaurant environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Food handling and safety certifications (Fees will be covered)
• A passion for creating memorable events

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
