Overview:
As a catering runner, you will be responsible for supporting the overall catering operation by efficiently managing the flow of food and beverages, assisting with setup and breakdown of events, and ensuring that all customer needs are met. Your role is crucial in maintaining a seamless and positive experience for clients and guests.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $22.50

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary equipment.
  • Ensure that the event venue is set up according to the client's specifications and company standards.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food to the event site.
  • Monitor the presentation and quality of food and beverages to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Work closely with catering staff to manage the distribution of food and beverages during events.
  • Act as a liaison between the kitchen, serving staff, and event organizers to facilitate effective communication.
  • Relay important information such as special dietary requests or event changes to the appropriate team members.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client and guest inquiries or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Anticipate and fulfill client and guest needs to enhance their overall experience.
  • Ensure that all catering equipment, including serving trays, utensils, and beverage dispensers, are clean and in good working condition.
  • Report any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel for maintenance or replacement.
  • Follow a timeline to ensure that all aspects of the catering event run smoothly and according to schedule.
  • Adapt to any unexpected changes or challenges that may arise during the event.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in catering or hospitality is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that involve manual labor.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
