Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Delivers excellent customer service at all times and communicates in a professional and courteous manner with guests, hospital staff and coworkers
- Ability to interpret catering BEOs, gather and set up appropriate equipment for multiple events at one time
- Performs the appropriate steps of service associated with a catered meal dependent upon the style of the event (plated, buffet, reception)
- Maintains appropriate sanitation levels in the work area in compliance with the food code (proper labelling, FIFO and hand washing)
- Completes side work at the beginning and end of shift as assigned including but not limited to cleaning duties, food prep and stocking
- Works as a team member to provide the most efficient service to guests
- Maintains a calm and professional demeanor during periods of high volume to promote a positive guest experience and stable working environment
- Performs other job related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of two years of experience in hospitality or other related field
