We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate/ Cashier at our family owned convenience store. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Stock & clean shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance the customer experience
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of merchandise
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; fluency in Spanish or other languages is a bonus
- Basic knowledge of technology products is beneficial for assisting customers with tech-related inquiries
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions
