Responsibilities:
- Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure food quality and safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries
- Upsell menu items to increase sales
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling and order processing
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Skills:
- Food handling: Ability to safely handle and prepare food according to established guidelines
- POS: Proficiency in operating a point-of-sale system for order processing and payment handling
- Help: Willingness to assist customers and team members as needed
- Upselling: Ability to suggest additional menu items or promotions to increase sales
- Sales: Basic understanding of sales techniques to promote products or specials
- Basic math: Competency in performing basic mathematical calculations for cash handling and order processing
- Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Cash handling: Proficiency in accurately counting money, providing change, and maintaining cash register balance
- Food service: Understanding of customer service principles in a food service setting
