The cashier courteously and efficiently manages all sales, parts and service repair transactions for our valued customers. They receives and processes payments for services rendered. The cashier uses the appropriate software programs to record payment amounts and reconciles their drawer each night. Answering telephones in a polite and courteous manner and directs customers to the appropriate department. The Cashier/Receptionist plays a key role in maintaining the stores reputation and image.
Schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with occasional Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist Service and Sales customers with a smile and professional demeanor.
Answers all incoming calls and transfer calls to appropriate departments.
Perform all Sales, Parts and Service transactions (Cash, Check, Credit Cards)
Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and records the amount received in an accurate manner.
Provides proper change and/or receipts to the customers.
Balances cash drawer.
Provides exceptional customer service throughout checkout process.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Disperse customers plates & registrations
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Assist accounting office with various tasks as needed.
Follows company safety procedures and policies
Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information at all times.
Qualifications:
1 + years of experience preferred by not necessary
Automotive Dealership experience a PLUS!!
Service or hospitality industries experience a PLUS!
Previous retail and/or customer service experience
Strong math skills and the ability to handle financial transactions rapidly and accurately in a fast paced environment
Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
Excellent communication , customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stresss
Strong organizational skills and able to multi-task
Highly trustworthy and security conscious.
Basic computer skills
Confidence in your ability to be successful.
Professional appearance and work ethic.
