Position Overview:
As a Host/Hostess at Prime NO. 7, the Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience from the moment they walk through the door. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including greeting and seating guests, managing takeout orders, answering phone calls, and providing assistance with menu inquiries. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Greeting and Seating Guests:
- Warmly welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Monitor table turnover and ensure timely seating of guests.
Takeout Orders:
- Efficiently handle takeout orders, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
- Pack orders neatly and securely for customers.
- Process payments for takeout orders as needed.
Phone Calls:
- Answer incoming phone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Take reservations and record special requests accurately.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
Menu Explanation:
- Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Assist guests in making informed decisions by explaining menu items and providing recommendations.
- Accommodate special dietary needs or preferences of guests whenever possible.
Assisting Servers and Bussers:
- Collaborate with servers to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Communicate special requests or concerns from guests to the appropriate staff members.
- Clear and reset tables as needed to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
Maintaining Host Stand:
- Keep the host stand area clean and organized at all times.
- Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and other supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Monitor the waiting area and keep guests informed about wait times.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guests' needs and concerns promptly and courteously.
- Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy, escalating to management when necessary.
- Create a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere for guests throughout their dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of Korean cuisine and culture is a plus, but not required.
